British Trade and Investment Minister, Lord Price said that Argentina and the UK are at the beginning of a new era in bilateral relations and in an excellent position to turn common interests into concrete business interests. Lord Price together with a mission of UK top business leaders ended on Friday a two-day visit to Argentina, the first in ten years.
Ian Duddy has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to Uruguay in succession to Ben Lyster-Binns, who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Mr Duddy will take up his appointment during October 2016.

The UK embassy in Montevideo celebrated the 90th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth at ambassador Ben Lyster-Binns residence on Thursday 28 with the attendance of 500 guests including Uruguayan government officials, lawmakers, diplomats, media and members of the British community in Uruguay.
