  Falklands' veteran Simon Weston launches book on “My Life; My Story”

  

  A Falklands' war veteran who survived the bombing of his ship when most of those on board were killed takes to the stage to tell the story of his life. In “My Life; My Story”, which comes to East Grinstead's Chequer Mead on Friday, October 16, Simon Weston OBE, will share truths about the conflict, the day the RFA Sir Galahad was attacked and the impact the event and its consequences have had since.

  Gibraltar calls for UK to remain in the EU: “it needs to be fixed, not thrown away”

  

  The European Union needs to be ‘fixed, not thrown away’, Gibraltar Chief Minister Fabian Picardo has said in a letter to The Times. The letter follows news that Nigel Lawson is to lead the Conservative movement to leave the EU and Mr. Picardo told the newspaper that those whose best future lies in remaining in a secure Europe “need to speak up”.

  Falklands: Argentina waiting for a reply to its project to identify remains buried at Darwin

  Plenty of Cristina's friends referred to the Malvinas claim at the UN

  

  Although president Cristina Fernandez, to the surprise of many, did not mention a word about Argentina's claim over the Falkland Islands, particularly since this was her last address to the UN General Assembly, Minister Hector Timerman said that nobody could doubt the president's commitment to the Malvinas question, and there were plenty of mentions to the issue from allied countries.
