  Argentine foreign minister Susana Malcorra met Friday morning with Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson in the framework of the G 20 ministerial summit which took place in the German city of Bonn. There was no official release on the meeting which apparently was brief.

  Argentine foreign minister Susana Malcorra met on Thursday in Bonn with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and one of the issues addressed was organizing the coming summit of presidents Mauricio Macri and Donald Trump, following the invitation extended to the Argentine leader by the US president on Wednesday's phone exchange.

  Mr Matthew Hedges has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Paraguay in succession to Dr Jeremy Hobbs, who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Mr. Hedges will take up his appointment in August 2017.

  Brexit Minister admits some parliamentary “ping pong”, but March timetable stands

  

  British ministers are braced for a parliamentary battle and are prepared for the Article 50 legislation to be rewritten by the House of Lords, David Davis has indicated. The Brexit Secretary said he expected some parliamentary “ping pong”, with the Bill being sent back and forth between the Commons and the Lords, suggesting he expected peers to defeat the Government and make changes to the tightly-worded legislation.

  Red Cross completes Phase 1 of mission to identify Argentine soldiers in Darwin cemetery

  

  Laurent Corbaz of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), said on leaving the Falklands that Phase 1 of the mission to identify Argentine soldiers buried at the Darwin Cemetery had taken place during the week spent in the Islands with his team mate Patrick Sherry.

  Falklands: Red Cross advance team collects information for forensic team

  

  The International Red Cross mission which spent nine days in the Falklands gathering information and finalizing plans for the team that will identify Argentine unknown soldiers buried in the Darwin cemetery sometime in June/July, have left the Islands.

  German top banker warns London could lose role as gateway to Europe's financial hub

  

  One of Germany's most senior banking regulators has warned London that it is likely to lose its role as “the gateway to Europe” for vital financial services. Dr Andreas Dombret, executive board member for the German central bank, the Bundesbank, said that even if banking rules were “equivalent” between the UK and the rest of the European Union that was “miles away from access to the single market”.
