  McDonald's burgers are not welcome in Florence's Piazza del Duomo

  

  McDonald's is suing the city of Florence for €18m after it was blocked from opening a restaurant on one of the Italian city's most historic plazas. The fast-food giant had its plans for an outlet on the Piazza del Duomo rejected by Florence's mayor in June and the decision was upheld in July by a technical panel in charge of preserving the city's ancient heart.

  DAP Airways opens summer link between Punta Arenas and Ushuaia

  

  Chilean privately owned DAP Airways inaugurated this week the link between Punta Arenas, extreme south of Chile and Ushuaia, capital of Argentine Tierra del Fuego, a flexible commercial service that includes two weekly flights during the summer season and with the main purpose of increasing connectivity in the region and favoring tourism.

  Latam/BA/Iberia deal questioned by Brazil´s competition regulator

  

  Brazil's competition regulator Cade said on Monday that a deal between LATAM Airlines LAN.SN, British Airways and Iberia could have a negative impact on routes between Brazil and Europe. Chile-headquartered LATAM signed joint business agreements in January to deepen its ties with American Airlines Group and IAG's British Airways and Iberia, all members of the Oneworld Alliance.

  World's largest cruise vessel, Harmony of the Seas, begins to operate from Florida

  

  The Royal Caribbean's 226,963-ton Harmony of the Seas, on late Saturday departed on its maiden voyage out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, its new long-term home. Escorted out to sea by a flotilla of jetboard and jetpack performers, the 16-deck-high vessel set sail on a short, three-day trip that kicks off a week of welcoming events. The events include an official christening ceremony scheduled for Thursday.
